The Penguin Plunge is an unsupervised event. It is about good safe fun being shared by the local community, friends and family. If you wish to join us please consider you do so at your own risk. Here are some tips.. Thank you.
Swim Tips

Wear secure foot wear. Crocs and sandals can be lost in the river bed.

If you have a heart problem - consider just watching!

Children under 16 should to be accompanied by an adult.

Do not drink - alcohol does not warm you up - it accelerates hypothermia.

Do not stay in the water longer than 15 minutes. Body heat is lost 25 times faster in water than in air. This is a plunge... in and out~!.. It is not advised to remain in the water longer than necessary.

Bring a warm dry change of clothes

bring a friend. to laugh with you, take pictures and help with your extra clothes

bring something to eat. To maintain body temperature your body will need to burn calories.

Health and Safety
Well we have heard all the safety measures but here are a few to keep in mind.
First be aware and courteous of other people and their comfort levels.
Wear a mask if you like.
Consider your social distance with others.
This is a body positive zone so OWN IT and have fun.
