LUCKY is right. Sixteen joined in and Mother Nature was in our favour. Also outside of our team several groups also braved the waters starting early morning through late afternoon. Wonderful. We were surrounded by family, friends and neighbours. Some stayed all day, some came and went. All shared the welcome and appreciation a new year has to offer each other.
This years team was...
First timers club...Kylan, Navpreet, Don, Mitch, Salina, Brooklyn, Colton, and veterans - Niyanna, Jenn, Ted, Matt, Chris .Jonathon, Robert, Luke.
Lastly, We wish our official photographer Andrei and his wife a happy 30th Anniversary.
We hope to see you in 2026 ~!
Additional thanks to Glen for the video seen here.

So the new year welcomed us all with balmy spring like temperatures which only added to the Jolt of submersion into the mineral green waters of the Harrison River. With almost a record turnout participating and observing it was another successful social, bringing together regular and new faces. This years team had a record number of new club members. Newbies where Marc, Angeline, Mike, Paula, Tiffany, Hayla, Niyanna, Alan, Marc, Trish and Willie, alongside veterans Chris, Matt, Lygdal, Julian and Dave.
Lastly, I appreciate our official photographer Andrei for coming and sharing his skills and time. A big thank you to SmartPhotos.ca

2023
Well 2023 could not have been any more welcoming for those that shared in our New Years Day Joy. With a near record number of penguin souls braving the waters of the Harrison River, The 11th Annual Penguin Plunge in Harrison Mills was a success. We had sisters, Fathers and Sons and many other returning to enjoy the atmosphere and friendship. Swimmers this year were, Cyndi, Lygdal, Julian, Chris, Jonathon, Robert, Wiktoria, Josie, Matt, Justin, Carl, and a few new comers who may be able to identify themselves for the site.
And thanks also to our family, friends and neighbours for your support from the shore and who bore witness to the day.
Congratulations to team 2022~!!

2022
Wow. The 10th Annual Penguin Plunge happened as promised. We had a wonderful team of ten also!. this included Chris M. , Jonathon , Carl, Luke, Greg, Chris D., Matt, and first timers Wiki, Justin and Jeff. Also we were graced with a long time Vancouver polar bear swimmer for who we will call the chairman. (Terry?) who is has an impressive tenure of swims there. Hopefully he will continue to join us also . Hope to see more returning faces and first timers for the 11th come 2023!
Congratulations to team 2021~!!

2021
So this did happen. It was not advertised and it took place. We still managed to have a safe dip into the river shared with only a few regular swimmers. We truly missed many of the others who annually would join us. However we survived!
So moving forward we have 2022 to look forward and it will be the 10th Annual Penguin Plunge at Harrison Mills! I believe we all know and have the tools in hand to walk away safely and return to our family's and friends in good health.
Belated shout out to Cindy, Jonathon, Chris, Matt, Claire and the shore support crew - Hunter, Vlad, Chris, Kaleigh amongst other socially distanced for our outdoor celebration of the end of 2020 ...
Congratulations to team 2020~!!

Clubs 2013, 2014, 2015~!!

2013 was a test run. Not even sure if I wanted to.. But even after community event posts on line and on radio (the "Hawk" in Chilliwack) I was the sole survivor with the support of family, a good friend and some neighbours.
2014 was shared with a neighbours family and a friend. Finally company. Plus a late show by Mr. Chris who will continue to be counted for the ears to come. (word of advice.. Only go in once a day.)
2015 was shared with Chris and Ian.
